StrixRynn’s YOUniversity

Truly Know & Master Your Self by Unlocking Your Potential and Honing Your Latent Skills

‘It’s like getting a Masters in Self Knowing or a Ph.D. in You.’

Let us know if you want to take full advantage of this opportunity to be hosted through your evolution.

YOUni ~ meaning

In Japanese, when ‘you ni’ appears at the end of a sentence it means:

hope, wish, request or mild command.

It can also mean to perform an action in a special way.

Although YOUniversity technically stands for the ‘study of self’ (a.k.a. YOU University), it is also a cue to bow in honour of the prayer that brings most of our students to us:

to be exceptional, unique, special, and hopeful of truly being their authentic selves and to command themselves with integrity.

Interview Questions ~ About YOUniversity

1. What distinguishes the courses that you offer in a marketplace where there are so many different teachings and approaches to personal psychological and spiritual development?

One major difference is the integrated understanding that psychology and spirituality are two realms in constant communication with one another within an individual and thus are both always influencing you.

Another major difference is that I am not trying to prove a point or make you do anything in order to prove my point, I am simply responding to the need as asked. As a result, StrixRynn content is a much more responsive, inclusive and non-judgemental approach to getting your needs met, as we do believe that the end results will look different for everyone.

3. How did the idea for YOUniversity arise? Why are you calling this platform ‘YOUniversity’?

For the people who are already overwhelmed by trying to figure their lives out, Hartwell once challenged me to organize the courses in a balanced and supportive way to make it easier for them to get the help that they need.

Hartwell once said ‘Working with you, I feel like I’m getting a PhD in ME’…and so YOUniversity was born to honour those enduring the Study of the Self.

And so one variation is: You (u)niversity

But a more accurate one is: Your-Self Orientation University

It is all too easy to get lost in that no man’s land between the shedding of the old you and the discovery and revelation of the truer you. The True Self needs to be that guiding light leading your way as you orient yourself through the abyss that is self-work.

But the real one can only be discovered on the inside.

{both the real Self and also the deeper meaning of YOUniversity}

2. In our current times, there is a large portion of humanity that struggles in numerous ways. What do you see suffering humanity as being most in need of and how do your course offerings reflect that?

Innately problematic, the modern ideal of an ‘empowered’ person is not in alignment with most people’s design or constitution and leaves them suffering to endure it. Dropping that societal pressure would relieve much of the stress.

What people need is self-responsibility and self-knowing. If everyone did what they were designed to do much of that may be relieved as we support one another in accordance with God’s Divine design. Much suffering comes from people doing too much or too little of the right and wrong things for their constitution.

Of course, this is an ideal… which is what the question asked for. It’s not necessarily realistic at this time in most societies.

Courses reflect the keys to unlocking the authentic and unadulterated YOU. To help you understand what you were designed to do, who to do it for, and who to be while doing it. Which is why it is called YOUniversity.

4. What is your vision of a healthy human being?

Well, that depends on the person…

The 0ptimal function for that person’s design – which none of us have a right to judge – is the ultimate goal of personal expression.

But a healthy human being is a fully integrated and fully authentic being who understands the difference between compromising and consideration.

5. How does genuine change happen?

What are the keys to graceful and sustainable change that is in alignment with the most authentic version of yourself?

Let's look at:

- comparing your divine design with your personal expression of who you are and learn how to tell what’s in alignment for you.

- the three stages to sustainable change in your life: Debride, Integrate, Create

6. Why is the programming of YOUniversity so diverse?

People are complex and many things work together towards the goal.

People need support in unexpected ways.

People have diverse needs and interests.

Although the programming is designed to meet complex and layered goals, it is also all catered to your specific needs.

7. Can we be anything we want to be? Can anyone develop any ability? [i.e. psychic] And if they can, should they?

Although you may be able to touch it, it may not be in your best interests.

Your divine design and what’s in alignment for you decides whether acquiring a skill or experience is going to be a good or bad experience for you. Authenticity is a catchword nowadays, but inauthenticity is when you try to do something that isn’t right or natural for you to do. It means you weren’t designed to pull it off, and there will be a price to pay.

Discernment between pursuit, cultivation, and spiritual materialism is essential for navigating that narrow way to authentic empowerment.

Pursue all you want – but mastery that is in alignment is up to your design.

How does this new platform help us who are hungry for more in life reach our goals and find what we are insatiably looking for?

~ more knowledge ~ more of our self ~ more capability ~

The motivation for creating this platform was in large part due to the overwhelm that querents experience when trying to approach personal growth. We took the guessing out of it for you by organizing your goals into done-for-you program plans.

Although any published courses can be taken ROM (Replay-on-Demand) at your discretion, YOUniversity Programs provide courses that build on one another and complement or support each other as organized in a prescribed order that works towards your goals in a sustainable way at much lower costs.

Based on your answers to a few simple questions, our registrar team can help you choose the program that best meets your goals and fill in the plug-and-play options to register in your courses.

Each semester provides the opportunity for 6-10 facilitated live course options which are spread throughout the different program disciplines, so your course order choices sometimes are reflective of your format choice: Facilitated Live Online Work (FLOW) vs Replay On-Demand (ROM), as well as your scheduling availability. Most programs will include a combination of participation available in Facilitated, ROM, and Workshop/Events/Intensives formats or through private tutoring/Mentorship.

How YOUniversity program participation works…

Semesters - Pacing & Workload:

There are 3x 108-day-long semesters per year: (Winter: Jan -> Mid-Apr; Summer: May -> Mid-Aug; Autumn: Sep -> Mid-Dec).

Because course runs vary from 21-108 days each with staggered start dates and ROM courses can often be done in binge sessions, students are able to start at any time during a semester. The dates are more for FLOW live-run facilitated classes with the instructors and for balancing your workload.

Time Commitment:

Individual courses can run for 21, 40, 64, or 108 days. Facilitated classes usually run with in-class times of 45-90min/wk plus homework challenges.

Classes run 3x per week, but courses alternate as they are completed. Thus up to 3-4 courses may run at a time for a total of 10-12 possible live courses within a semester with staggered start dates. Keep in mind: that is spread between all disciplines and majors. You likely would not be taking that many courses all at once as some being offered would be irrelevant to your goals.

Course Formats:

Courses are offered in two formats:

FLOW {Facilitated Live Online Work} classes & ROM {Replay-On-Demand} courses.

In the Facilitated Live Online Work (FLOW) run of a course, the classes will be live hosted on Zoom (or in person) with supplementary content delivered in written form (much like how you have a textbook in a course in addition to classes) or pre-recorded video lectures. Intimate class sizes include 4-12 students and private tutor options.

Replay-On-Demand (ROM) participation in the course will be delivered through replay videos and access to the supplementary content from the initial flagship run of the course. Some ROM courses are drip (scheduled release) or drop (you can binge the whole thing as quickly as you wish).

Course Types:

Courses include full multistage courses and minicourses for personal growth and PsychoSpiritual development as well as challenges (self-work, meditation or exercise). Other course offerings include events, workshops, and retreats.

Private Tutoring / Mentorship:

One of the best student benefits is the massive discounts on personal sessions with your instructors to go deeper into your work. In addition to the tutor's office hours where you can ask questions to get clarity about the course content, there are also these three types of private work to go farther in your studies than the class alone would take you:

Tutoring - for diving deeper into course content and getting clarity or giving an edge to your future work.

Mentorship - personal application & personal coaching for getting into answering ‘what next’ or ‘what about me’ types of questions.

PsychoSpiritual Sessions - therapy, counselling, and/or coaching sessions that help you deal with all of the ‘extracurricular’ stuff that comes up. Whether there is triggered stuff that needs processing, life is doing extra things that you need to deal with, or you are finally ready to tackle something that is holding you back - these sessions go far beyond what you’d expect and go way beyond the classroom topics.

Tuition Costs:

Tuition costs depend on the program you choose and the scale of study you want (PT/FT/Casual & degree level).

The exciting thing about this platform though is that the costs are equalized by the length of your program to honour people who want to do big and sincere work on (and with) themselves. The costs are also shared by the cohort students to reduce the total.

Cumulative incentives can work out to be up to 85% off of the purchase price compared to if you took the courses independently where many would likely never end up reaching their goals.

Tuition installments can benefit from cumulative discount incentives for Owlet alumni rate, group rates, early bird discounts, unfulfilled audits (courses purchased but not completed or retaking a course you already have access to), as well as capitalizing on the bulk pricing of multicourse package prices.

At YOUniversity we believe that an authentic and powerful embodiment of one’s inherent design is not only possible but also accessible.

We further acknowledge the limitless diversity of expressions that exist within God’s creation; our mandate is to facilitate you to fully express and fulfill your uniqueness, not be limited by traumatic experiences or social conditioning.

We intend for you to feel valued and cherished for who you truly are, and as a result to realize your inherent connection within the web of life.

You are meant to know who you are and what you came here to do. If you are willing to take accountability for your life, lead with your heart, and hone your ability to be discerning, you have all that you need to be successful in your quest/journey.

YOUniversity will provide the tools you need to shed the excess, align with your built-in learning style & preferences, and discover your natural superpowers.

This opens the way for a graceful, organic, and sustainable way of living where you fulfill your destined role, purpose, and ministry with full assurance and unbridled power.

Student’s Graduated Accomplishment Levels:

Part-Time Student:

3-6 courses per semester

Part-time participants have access to student benefits such as tutor sessions, office hours, and program discounts.

Casual Participant:

Pay as you go 1+ courses

Casual attendees do not have access to student benefits such as tutor sessions and office hours or program discounts.

Hatchling - Certificate Level:

The introductory level of accomplishment earns a Certificate by completing general knowledge or foundation courses in a discipline.

Also, a certificate of completion can be earned for a single course and certificates are available for Medicine Bundles which are themed course packages (ex. Beta Medicine Bundles).

Branchling - Bachelor’s Level:

The higher level is more about in-depth knowledge and specialized skills for the chosen discipline.

Full degree programs are typically designed as 2-3 years* for completion at the regular study rate.

Nestling - Diploma Level:

The intermediary level focuses more on the practical skills of the chosen discipline as well as the foundational knowledge.

Diplomas focused on a discipline can take 15 months to 2 years* to complete at the regular study rate.

Owlet - Master’s Level:

To achieve expertise and truly master one’s self and their most desired skills one must continue their pursuit of added specialization and advanced training to complete a Master’s level program.

Full-Time Student:

7-10 courses per semester and able to add up to 2 self-study extra credit courses

Due to varying course lengths and start times, one could take up to 3-4 courses at a time with a total of 10-12 per semester.

Full-time participants have access to student benefits such as tutor sessions, office hours, and program discounts.

Fledgling - Honours Degree:

Our Honours Degree Program allows Bachelor’s students to uplevel their specialization work by completing more focused ‘on-task’ courses (not having to take off-topic electives or choose between alternatives - they can take both) OR by adding a second major/minor within their program. This level is done in preparation should one choose to pursue Master’s level training involving a certain level of mentorship in addition to student tutoring.

*This may be expedited by prioritizing ROM formats in any available previously run courses that you have the prerequisites for depending on your focus and goals.

Progressive Accomplishment Graduated Programming:

In most cases, you do NOT need to choose what level you want to accomplish. You are not being asked to make any long-term commitments. Commitments are only really ever accountable semester-by-semester. However, it only benefits you to keep going even though there is no obligation.

However, programs are structured over the term of 2-3yrs. There is no obligation to complete the program, however, in many cases the content you are after can only be achieved after building your foundation and honing other complementary skills to get to that level.

Progressive Accomplishment Graduated Programming means that as you progress through your program you naturally upgrade your degree. Essentially, a certain amount of courses completed qualifies you for a certificate, then more to get a diploma, then more for a bachelor’s or honours degree. Then, added specialization and advanced training can be approached to complete a master’s level program.

Programs are built out of a combination of…

2) Specialization Courses:

These courses are the building blocks of mastering your goals. All specialization courses cover the grounds for your chosen discipline and work towards mastering the content in your program major’s focus. These courses include essential courses in the discipline as well as specialized courses aimed at specific end goals.

Within a program you will choose your discipline (major) and may also choose a focus (specialization when the discipline has multiple end goals) and/or a secondary goal (minor).

Majors:

Majors are the primary goals as described by the program titles. The majority of your course selections will be aimed toward mastering the knowledge and skills that enable you to reach these goals. Because of the complexity of these goals, it takes time and organization to build towards this accomplishment and most programs are realistically 2-3 years in the making.

Minors (Optional):

Minors are much smaller commitments as they are less comprehensive OR capitalize on work already done in the pursuit of your major that is just going to reroute to a separate goal.

1) Core Curriculum:

All SRYU students take a selection of core classes that build a solid foundation for personal growth and for working together so that they are familiar with StrixRynn’s foundational teachings.

Most of these courses are chosen because they are the components that StrixRynn stresses are essential for everyone to know about themselves for self-understanding, comfort with themselves, and inner peace.

Select courses are included because they build the language, precepts, and principles that StrixRynn uses in the majority of its content. Rather than spending time on these topics repeatedly in every course, the foundation is set through these core courses so that we can just blaze ahead at full steam knowing everyone is starting from the same page.

Remember that steam means: the unseeable that is kept under pressure to provide energy for transformation (i.e. heat, cooking, movement).

Foundation Courses:

Within each discipline, there are department standard courses that lay the foundation for that program regardless of your specialization.

3) Electives:

Elective courses are select courses that SR offers that do not fit into particular discipline programs. They are often distilled from the content of retreats, workshops, and special events. These courses are offered as an opportunity to make additional interesting content available and to take the pressure off of your focus to allow some room to breathe as a break but not a distraction.

Electives can also be certain courses from other disciplines that students from other programs can take without committing to another major/minor.

Complementary~Companion Courses:

Complementary courses are companion courses within each program that may seem like a departure from your target goals, but they are included in order to encourage balance in your growth as a whole and complete being and ensure sustainable change.

Additional Opportunities:

Some higher-level programs [i.e. Fledgling (Honours) and Owlet (Master’s)] have a practicum or thesis option and/or mentorship opportunity.
